Liver and gall bladder

The liver is the largest abdominal organ and is part of the digestive system; it secretes bile and performs more than 300 vital functions[1], including the following three: a detoxification function, a synthesis function, and a storage function. It is an amphicrine gland that synthesizes bile (exocrine function) as well as various carbohydrates and lipids (endocrine function). It also plays an important role in hemostasis. It is a highly vascularized organ.

It is a vital organ.
