Dipsacus fullonum MT (wild teasel)

Basic subscription

The mother tincture of Dipsacus fullonum (commonly known as wild teasel or bird’s cabaret) is made from the plant’s fresh roots. It is particularly renowned in traditional herbal medicine for its detoxifying properties and its use as an adjunct treatment for chronic conditions:

  • Support for Lyme disease: This is its most well-known use. Although it is by no means a substitute for medical antibiotic treatment, teasel is traditionally used to help the body eliminate bacterial toxins (associated with Borrelia burgdorferi) and soothe associated joint or muscle pain.

  • Purifying and detoxifying effects: It stimulates the elimination functions of the liver and kidneys, helping to purify the body.

  • Skin support: Thanks to its purifying properties, it is sometimes recommended to improve the appearance of the skin in cases of skin conditions (eczema, psoriasis).
