Mercurius dulcis 7CH is used to alleviate serous otitis media caused by repeated and poorly treated nasopharyngitis, or by hearing loss that has persisted for several years. Mercurius dulcis 7CH is also used for cirrhosis and stomach pain, to treat dysentery with loose, scanty stools, and constipation accompanied by epigastric pain and a feeling of emptiness in the stomach. This medication provides relief for children with diarrhea accompanied by a constant urge to have a bowel movement and who have greenish stools with the consistency of scrambled eggs.
