Trimethoprim + Sulfamethoxazole
Trimethoprim + Sulfamethoxazole is a medication that consists of two antibiotics – trimethoprim (one part) and sulfamethoxazole (five parts). It is commonly used to treat bacterial infections of the ears, mouth, skin, urinary tract, and lungs. It may also be used to treat traveler's diarrhea, shigellosis, and other bacterial infections, including Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).
