Subscriptions and Access
Understanding Basic, Premium, Pro, Stripe payments, and locked content.

Objective
In the upper-right corner of the maps displayed on the screen, the following may appear:
a black key, in which case a Basic subscription is required
a blue key, in which case a Premium subscription is required
a yellow key, in which case a Pro subscription is required
a black padlock—in this case, this infomercial or fact sheet has been personally made available to you
no icon—in this case, access is unrestricted
Requirements
- You must be logged in to subscribe.
- You must have entered your mailing address in your profile or at checkout.
- You must have a payment method accepted by Stripe.
Steps
- Open “Pricing” to compare Basic, Premium, and Pro plans on a monthly or annual basis.
- Select “Subscribe” for the plan you want.
- Enter or confirm your mailing address if requested.
- Complete the payment in Stripe Checkout.
- Go back to Dashboard > Subscription to check your plan, status, and renewal date.
- Use “Manage My Subscription” to open the Stripe portal, change your plan, or cancel.
Tip
Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades generally take effect in the next billing cycle.
Caution
It may take a few moments to gain access after Stripe returns. Refresh the page if content remains locked immediately after payment.
Common issues
- If Stripe declines the payment, try a different card or contact your bank.
- If you're asked for a mailing address, enter it in Dashboard > Profile, then try the payment again.
- If content remains locked after payment, log out and then log back in before contacting support.
